I try to burn my MP3 music files to disc using WMP 11, a blank disc holds 700mb of files, when i try to burn MP3 files to a disc the player shows that i can only burn 499mb and splits the further files into seperate discs?

Why when a 700mb disc is inserted into the disc burner, it only allows me to burn 499mb although WMP 11 shows disc as having 702mb free space?

I have a Vista laptop which burns discs with no problem, so why not WMP 11.

Nero work independently.
I don't have any problems with the 4 PC's we have running at home.
two run Vista and two windows 7.

Three have Nero on.

I have been using Nero for year Pete, never had any issues with it.
Works well encoding video files to DVD too ;)

Things that i have learnt:

WMP11 & Nero are NOT compatible.

Nero cannot be uninstalled fully & Nero no longer support version 6, so the removal tool is not availible to download either.

WMP11 cannot be uninstalled - only wound back to the previous version of WMP11.

Microsoft's Fix-it tool works well, it fixed the corrupted libary, which was probably the problem to start with.
