had a busy couple of days servicing bits on 241 and adding new bits etc as you would have seen and also giving him his first machine polish and only its second wax in 2009 ohmy.gif

so ive had my new splitter sitting about for a few months so finally had the chance to get it fitted and i must say it looks amazing, i really like it, all holes lined up as well apart from one that had to be drilled out slightly, i had to spray the 9 nuts and bolts that hold the splitter on the night before with penetrating fluid as they havent been touched for nine years and they were solid but it done the trick.

i used all new stainless bolts and lock nuts and washers to put it back on.

splitter removed and front grill removed.

splitter fitted
and new powder coated lower centre grill fitted.

i also fitted brand new front headlights which really do change the appearance of the car from the front, they really sparkle now. i tried cleanin my old ones up alot but they never looked the same. gave the car a good polish and wax and the engine bay a quick detail too and sorted out my upper grill which was broken. looking alot better than it did the day before when i started biggrin.gif

How on earth do you get your engine bay to look so clean?

just kept it clean the last few years, still could do with alot of cleaning as only the surface is clean it needs steam cleaning etc really.

Looking good Al! cool.gif

You certainly used a lot of polish with that machine! laugh.gif

Do you mind if I ask where you got the headlights from? As I'm wanting to do this to mine at some point.

Cheers! good.gif

I think Al got them from here, when I set up a deal some time ago. IIRC around £210 per pair delivered.

I chased him some time ago for a new deal, but got no reply. You could try contacting him to see what price he would do a pair for:

The Haynes Fiesta Manual (3397) can answer a lot of your questions.

Yeah, I thought it might have been.

Thanks Rick! smile.gif

Will give them a call after pay day, and see what they can do for me.

TBH I'm really only after the lenses, but if I can get them cheap enough, then might as well get the whole unit.
