Leics Meet 17 March
#1
Posted 31 December 2006 - 09:58 PM
date: Saturday 17 March 2007
meet time: 12.00 midday
place: Harvester pub/restaurant New Ashby Rd, Loughborough, LE11 4EX, tel 01509 214 165
plan: have meal; go for a drive with stop-offs at local beauty spots; go for a final drink/coffee etc; for those that want, go for a Chinese meal; for those with real staying power, hit the town!
After all that, go home and post pics on pp!
Harvester is dead easy to find - leave junction 23 of the M1 and take the exit to Loughborough; after the second set of traffic lights take the slip road on the left to the Harvester (if you get to a roundabout you have gone too far - turn round and take the slip road to turn right into the Harvester slip road!)
google 'Harvester Loughborough' if you want a map
also suggest you PM me a mobile number if you intend to come so we can keep in touch on the day
as before I will provide everyone who comes with details of the route in case anyone gets lost! (will also add mobile numbers that are given to me)
am looking forward to another good day out!
go and look at post 174 on this thread for a list of those going
go and look at post 103 to see suggestions of places to book in if you wish to stay overnight
edited to give updated programme for the day and to add Noodle Bar details
The Noodle Bar is at 32 Bedford Street, Loughborough, LE11 2DS; 01509 269247. I will take those eating in the evening there in convoy, and from there I will show them where the night life is.

Try renaming the thread to 'Loughborough meet', you might get more interest from lazy Notts Pumapeople who think that Leicester is too far away :-)

good idea about calling it a Loughborough meet - but then I might put off the people south of Leicester. Bottom line is that you cannot win!
Looks like we already have a goodly number for a lot of fun, though.

come up and see me...make me smile
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

I had not had one in mind Rach as it is term time for me (sad, I know!) and I know I am busy on the Sunday. What do others think?

OI!!! The Notts crew aint lazy Just I haven't had any time off work, but will be booking it off when The Notts meets will return about end of march/ early April to celebrate 3 years of Notts meets, and 10 years of the Puma. We will be getting the 'Big Hitters' of the Notts meets to return, I have tons of new routes we can use too, but until then..................
