Could some clever person explain how I change my 99 1.7 back to its original Ford 6000 cd/radio from the ISO adaptor fitted for an aftermarket Panasonic single din (in a double din adapter) I want the original silver system back - I cannot find the right part anywhere - I guess most people want the other way round

Hiya
Usually, the din adaptor plugs into the ford connectors for the original cd/radio. You should be able to pull out din adaptor cables to ser where the connect to ford connectors.
Disconnect here (think mine was 1 brown & 1 black connector) these should then plug straight in original ford radio . You will need to input the code for the radio to get it unlocked. Hope this helps.

Ah - bit of homework you need the ISO to Ford patch harness from Celsus (01202 664390) who will point you to your nearest stockist (or Amazon) for a AST1523 harness - you only need part of it apparently but this is the bit - from Amazon it was is £15

Where are the Ford plugs?
Those ISO adapters are usually completely removal, leaving you with the Ford loom to go back in to the standard radio.

Sadly the Ford part of the radio harness has been cut out leaving an ISO connector for the flakey Panasonic single din radio/CD which is black and looks rather sad in it location - the CD skips anyway

Would the Ford plugs with a bit of wire be useful? Colours should match but they'd need soldering or equiv.
