The main and dip beams are the same bulb (from memory) but separate bulbs. Just checked the Wiki HB3 LL (55w halogen bulb)
The head light unit can be improved with a good clean, make sure the alignment is good and a good polish of the exterior.
Very nice other car.

Bulbs here
There are some brighter options available, so I reckon I'll give them a go.

If anyone wants a pair of HB4 9006 bulbs for £20 (inc postage) then let me know. In the meantime I've ordered some HB3s from evilBay.

Unfortunately I bought them whilst in the UK over the Christmas period. I'm back home now (Isle of Man) and there's no Halfords here. Plus I paid cash and stupidly threw the receipt away.

Lol! Well, I fitted the cheapies I bought from eBay. They have a slight blue hue to them and the light they give off is certainly a bit whiter, meaning that it's a bit better for me to see in the dark. For about £10 for four bulbs (I fitted all four at once), so far so good! It's just a shame that the standard Puma headlamps are so rubbish.
