My girlfriend is pregnant and as she drives it more then me ( we only got the one car ), we need to get something with a bigger boot and 5 doors. ( never thought I would say that ).
Just to give everyone a heads up on who might be interested, the car is no longer as per when she was featured, its better! I've recently spent over 2k making what i see as improvements.
1. It's got a new turbo. there was nothing wrong with the old one but i just felt all the boost was coming in too late so I upgraded the turbo to have T28 inners. which means you have boost basically on tap. Made a huge difference. And the turbo can handle anything up to 320BHP.
2. Dreamscience, no real need to explain this one.
3. Alot of time on the rollers to get the best out of the above.
The only thing letting FRP RS down at the moment is the bodywork. I hate stonechips, need I say anymore. I did plan to have her go in to a friends of mine for work so this work can be done, i just wanted to see what reaction this would get? If any.
The one thing I want to add is that the car has never let me down! never broke down, not once since ive owned it ( done around 15,000 miles now ). Which I believe to be quite rare in a car that has had major modifications made to it. It's been so well looked after, always run on V-power etc etc. Anyway I think I've gone on enuf now.

Turby you aint far off, I will be open to offers but I will not be selling this car on the cheap, I cant stress how good this car really is. In my opinion the only thing missing would be a decent cooling system. The mileage on the car is around 28k, I never tracked the car, just sat and stared at it. lol.
As for pics I will try and get some up on the weekend, Maybe Big Boy Al can advise me where to take some decent shoots?
If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.
P.S. the turbo is also capable of running 25 PSI but im only choosing to run it at 20.

n85puma, what would you be wanting to look at exaclty? How the engine managed to fit in? Magic!!Alan@ PB did the conversion as everyone probably knows and he has never done one since and from what he tells me he will never do one again. Not to put you off. As for a Cosworth conversion the cost would be massive I know Pumaspeed have converted one but only as a track day car. I believe that car is still for sale?
As with regards to price like I say I'm open to reasonable offers.

I believe a company called DJM Motorsport did the 4WD conversion for Pumapeed...

Awesome car tho seen it down at pumaspeed looks the part with the wide arch kit and expect with 400+bhp it goes the part too.
There's an awesome white cossie puma on the projects section on passionford that is my all time favourite puma.

n85puma, why do an engine transplant, why not turbocharge the 1.7 you have in there?
You are more than welcome to have a poke around our 1.7 turbo engine to give you ideas (and I'm sure Turby could give you some good advice ). It's a lot easier to work with what you have!

i agree but i didn't think you would get much out of turbocharging a 1.7 (thought it would be like blowing through a macdonalds straw) i am tempted to go throttle bodies but i think it's costly for the power you could achieve. i can't see me ever getting the power i want out of a 1.7 although i could be wrong. i'm guessing you have the van aaken turbo kit?
