Hey guys,

I purchased Vince (my Puma) 2 years ago and am only just now getting round to doing a job I should have done as soon as I bought him.

The previous owner thought it was a great idea to remove the cigarette lighter and replace it with a 'Start' button... Needless to say I don't use it, (I just turn the key,) and would much prefer somewhere to charge my sat-nav.

My question is:
How easy is it to remove this 'start button' and replace it with a cigarette lighter (or just the 'holder' as I don't smoke), and how would I go about that?

Many thanks for any and all advice

David

Edit:
I should have mentioned I have an S reg Puma 1.7. The lighter is located in the ashtray compartment

No clue on how to remove the start button, but the wiring should still be there for the power outlet, get a replacement power outlet, Ford one so the shape of the plug is the same, remove the heater control panel (stereo out, two self tapping screws revealed at the top of the heater control panel, bingo), remove start button, fit new power outlet socket.

Would something like this work? And is it all I need to order?

Possibly, but not necessarily. Probably worth a try at that price.
