any one else have any trouble with a rattling passenger door, not very loud, but sounds like something rattling inside the door, gets a bit annoying for the missus.... dont bother me, I just turn up the stereo, just wondered if anyone else had the same thing.
I dont live to work.... I work to live...... I live at the weekends.......... or failing that whenever the wife allows me !!!!!

Yes ... both sides. Probably worse since I took them off to do some work. You could try stuffing them with pieces of foam ... have thought about it, but not got round to it yet 9.gif

It's the 'clips' that hold the door card to the door frame - they become loose over time

Replacement code is FINIS:1044806 - you'll need 8 per door - from any Ford dealer

To replace the clips - unscrew a couple of phillips screws and a torx screw from the door card, remove the wingmirror cover, pull the door card away from the frame and lift up

When you attach new ones put a dab of silicone (windscreen sealant) around the holes in the door frame and it should stop the rattle in future...

You can try and squeeze the silicone between the gap left by a previously fitted clip and the door frame - it's probably less than 1mm...

...and you can't remove them without damaging them

You spent thousands on the car and garage maintenence, go on, splash out a few quid on clips dry.gif

my passenger door rattles like hell!! got worse after the windows where tinted.

are the clips expensive or have ford put a sensible price on them??
buy toyota celica GT4. fix puma, again. then sell

130 bhp upgrade and handling that makes the puma feel useless on a corner
now thats money better spent.

IIRC 60p each - I've already installed new ones and the rattles came back within a few months - so I've recently bought another set and I'm going to put silicone down this time...

PS be careful pulling back the weather shield - it won't be very sticky after 6 years...I've bought new weathershields - £50 each - (yet to install) and you have to drill and re-rivet the door handle back in place to replace them

Mine rattles and it's more than just the clips. Think this is true in most cases to be honest.
