come up and see me...make me smile
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand - strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO -What a Ride!:D

Why?
Either these two girls are extremely shrewd operators or any local authority that takes them on needs a proper audit doing.
Take it this is yet another example of money being wasted on education.
Yes, I got out of bed on the wrong side this morning

BB has a hell of a lot to answer for.
The sad thing is, they probably think they are destined to become mega famous (or in their words, dead dead good) recording artists when in fact it's just some bigwig's idea to make a quick buck while they have their few minutes in the spotlight.

Given what you have seen of these two, would you want them as your case worker?
An art degree maybe I could understand, but social work? That requires a certain degree of maturity.
And if they have no intention of following the course into work (regardless of BB infamy) then they are taking up course slots that others may have wanted.
They are not thick. They cant be unless they are doing an access course, and even then they must have shown some intelligence. However they lack any form of visible maturity - hence my comment on shrewd operators.
Education is a finite resource, and wasting it does nothing for those less fortunate than themselves.

Got to be easier than trying to find a decent band but then having to worry about giving them a long term contract and them not being able to produce the goods after the first big album. You would also need to worry about keeping the band happy over the many years they are working with you. With these one hit wonders, show them a tiny taste of stardom and they are happy.
it's like many things these days, cheap disposable crap, designed to have a very short lifespan or shelf life

This is a perfact example of the "one hit wonder"

Given a Social Worker is expected to be able to withstand cross examination in court, have a think of this.
Social Services take a couple to court for neglect. The social worker has spent last 10 years building a career up having been a reality TV airhead for a year or so.
The defence barrister gets wind of this. What do you think he will do? Ignore her airhead background, that she presented herself as a complet fruitcake for 10 weeks? I think not. He will rip into her background, and regardless as directions to the jury to ignore what he raised, the issue has been sown in the minds of the jury.
Now lets progress a few days, you are the Director of Social Services, and a child that is in danger is still in danger because the jury found the parents to be not guilty, partly because of skewed judgement on the professionalism of the social worker. You spend most of your working day defending your team from press reports. How would you feel if the press then came knocking on your door?
In a perfect world we can all move on from our miss spent youth and achieve greatness, but this is not a perfect world, this is a world driven by the media, and being fed by the likes of these two women.
You reap what you sow...

Here are things that could easily be picked up from 5 mins googling

Four links. Four links with enough info in to undermine any professional integrity they may gain in future. Yes they are just 18 and we've all been there. But and this is the rub. None of us have had our lives scrutinised for 10 weeks.

Question. If you were ever in a position of being accused of abusing Daniel, would you want one of them as your case worker?
Society has already judged their future based on 15 mins of fame, which is a shame, as for all we know, they could be the best case workers ever.
