Got a bit of a problem when i turn - it sounds like something at the front of the car is knocking/grinding/rubbing
The car still drives absolutely fine but i'm worried if i ignore it something is bound to break in due time! rolleyes.gif

I have a 1.7, 2001

Any ideas??

Could be outer driveshaft CV joints, these make a repetitive grinding noise when driving slowly while turning.

I'm not saying its 100% that, but I had a grinding noise when driving slowly on full lock and changing the outer CV joints cured it.

I would imagine dirt had got into the joint and had worn the bearing journals down over time.

Mine were £100 for the pair from shaftec - i'd defiantly recommend them!

Cool well i'm gonna get it looked at next week but at least i've got an idea what it might be.
Only thing is i can hear it when i even turn just slightly, not always on full lock.
