Post number 1 for me
Newbie Puma owner here and just to say to all those new Puma owners who are thinking about changing to these bulbs do it, I got the extreme Brilliance in yesterday and fitting them was a breeze and wow what a difference they make (in my opinion).
Love my car and can totally understand why people on this forum love theirs. Great forum too and i hope i can add some value where i can also
cheers
Nigel

I fitted the Halfords Super Brilliance headlight bulbs last year to my Puma and they made an improvement to the headlights, although these Extreme brilliance bulbs sound better at 90% as opposed to 50% but
I am a bit confused about the Halfords Extreme Brilliance Headlight bulbs.?
On page 2 of this thread there are Two different links both relating to the Halfords Super Brilliance headlight bulbs,
Halfords Extreme Brilliance HBU9005EB HB3 Bulb Single 12v 60w @ £24.99
Halfords Extreme Brilliance HBU711EB H11 Bulb Single 12v 55w @ £27.99
So which extreme brilliance bulbs are people fitting? the 12v 60W or the 12v 55w

That's my first post. First of all, I want to thank all of you the great info about the car in this forum
I have a '97 Puma and I'm trying to improve the headlights. Now I use standard bulbs, but this afternoon I have bought a pair of Philips Blue Vision after reading this post. I have run a few kilometers this night and the improval is not too much I hope it would be better...
I bought Philips bulbs because I live in Spain and Halfords doesn't ship to Spain
However I have read YOG post about Ring XenonMax but I haven't found any review or photo about them. Has anyone try them? Are SuperBrilliance or XenonMax better than BlueVision?
Thanks!!
P.S.: I want to apologise about my writing, sorry.

It is a pity Halfords don't ship to Spain. I've not tried Blue Vision but have tried blue tinted blubs and found they were worse than standard. Whereabouts in Spain are you? My son has been living/working in Puerto Banus since June.

Hi Midnight!
Sorry about the delay answering. Yes, I feel the same. It seems like if Blue Vision had less intensity than standard. And don't know exactly why...
I live in Zamora, in the NW of Spain. It is aprox at 800km from Puerto Banus. I have been there a few days last September and it's a fantastic place to live/work

Both of you are right. I think XenonMax should be better. I would like to see a photo of its intensity. When I installed Blue Vision in the right side, I turned on the lights to compare them and I was astonished because I could hardly see the difference.
I think I will buy a pair of XenonMax soon
Thanks.

If the link you gave are the ones you have ordered, i think they are wrong. They say they are 100w, not 100% brighter. I believe the 100w bulbs are illegal to use on our roads, only for offroad use.
These are the cheapest ring xenon max bulbs i could find on eBay. One pair for £16

Ring bulb is 60 watt + 100% = 120 watt, these are 65 watt (draw) to 130 watt (output), made in Japan.

I've just put these in my car last night for low and high beam after using them in my previous car for a year with no problems. They definetly look good but I haven't been out for a drive at night yet so can't comment on there performance just yet.
