Good Luck! :good:

Mine passed on Monday :roflmao:, I was a nervous wreck waiting in the reception. Got away with only 4 advisories... not bad for a R Reg with 126k on the clock.

To anyone else with an MOT looming I highly recommend getting one done by a local council, they're independant and will give you an honest assessment of the car rather than a garage with a vested interest on your car failing.

MOT cost £48.... and if it fails you can do the work needed yourself or shop around for quotes from garages. The retest cost £30.

I'm sure there are honest garages out there but my advisory list from last year was considerably longer than this year and the only thing I repaired on it were the rear bushes! <_<

I've always found that different garages always give different advisory's, always helps if you tell them before hand that you'll do the work yourself after, that way they don't try to add little unnecessary things as they know you wont ask them to fix them. Although on the other hand my brakes lines have been flagged as corroded by 2 different garages yet last year I had a power steering hose flagged up, didn't bother fixing it and it didnt get picked up this time round.

The garage I went to this time said my indicators aren't orange enough (even though they look pretty orange to me) yet completely ignored the less than legal number plates and HID's.

End of the day unless your lucky and do get a completely honest garage they'll flag up as many things as they think you'll pay them to fix!
