Had a trackday at brands yesterday as a present for my brothers birthday as he had never driven on track before. let him loose to rag my track car and he loved it and pushed alot harder than i thought he would. as normal i gave the car death and got in quite alot of good sessions. great day but ive gotta give the poor car a rest now till about march and get a few jobs done as its taken a beating this year. had no nitrous yesterday which was rubbish lol.

few pics and vids.

Yeah need to sort the front on mine, pulled the rubber lip off getting it off the truck a while back and not put it back on yet.

Got more serious issues first, new stub axles arrived from ScubaSteve, fit them and new bearings on the back, new brake pipe after it burst at Donington and bleed it all, then back up to Oulton on Friday.

Does look mega sat front on in the garage, mean as.

I need to renew my graphics at some point as well, more than one colour.

yeah ive got a bearing on the rear starting to go i can hear it.

so got that to change, rear brakes to freshen up with new drums and i wanna get my windows out and change them for a full poly set but got to find the funds, then by the summer im saving up for an omex ecu so i can finally get this not revving issue sorted and new cams as well ;-).

i can loose alot of weight off the doors without the glass and the inner frames. and ive gotta get the dash out and remove all the weight from behind and heater etc ;-).

less weight = good stuff haha, i will break my one minute barrier at brands, kept doing 1:01 all day, with my nitrous id do it so will try next time, 58's would be nice in the end. :woot:

Al have you had an instructor in the car with you on the Indy circuit to help with smoothness?

I paid for 20 minutes tuition at Keevil, which I found useful. It was a confidence booster too as he was very complimentary about my driving :)
I'm like you Al, doing it to have fun. Which isn't the always the fastest way to drive the circuit, but I don't care :P

I've always found tuition very useful.

Although it does always result in me being told to stop being scrappy and rough :roflmao:

Exactly I like my flat out on the edge style, not knowing if my car is suddenly going to spin or flip, it's what excites me ;-).

You wanted to be faster so some smoothness combined with when to boot it might have got the edge you were after plus they help you play and understand the line that works best for your car :)
