Creaking And Groaning

Hi everone the front off side suspension is making a creaking groaning noise when i move slowly dont know what it is hope its not expensive. The shocker does not seem to be leaking. ja_stupid.gif

no there quite cheap under Å“60 for the front bushes then an hour and a half labour say.

there is a couple at the back too.

8 in total so that would probably cost about Å“80 for parts then more labour time.

they are only made to last about 5 years and the puma gets through them quickly as it is always on them as people drive the car enthusiastically wink.gif

is it still safe to drive for a while. The car drives fine.

yeah fine mate but i bet once you get them done you will notice a difference.

tightens up the car alot.



by the way this isnt just the first time you pull away is it?? at about 15mph. is it all the time.?

no its all the time cant hear it when i am going, but when iam going slow creaking and groaning from the front off side is quite clear!

ah thats ok then thought it may have been the traction control self testing on pull away at about 15mph.

dont hundred percent quote me on the bushes though see if others have any ideas but i would think it had something to do with these.


have you had a look at the actual suspension spring itself to make sure there isnt a crack in it or something.

I had this recently on my N/S front Suspention, took it to Tremona and they tightened up the front suspention leg, mine was knocking though, i'm going with Al on the bushes, go and see Tony at Pumaspeed in Leeds, he'll see you right. wink.gif

Thanks i will give them a visit but they are booked up with work for a while.
