Took the pads out today and from what we could see there wasn't much in the way of corrosion at all, they were just very very dirty.
We cleaned alot of the dirt out of the calipers and gave the pads a good tidy up and so far there's no hint of the 'humming' noise, fingers crossed it doesn't come back!
The squeeling went completely for a few miles, which was nice - soon came back though
Before too long I'm going to replace the front pads and the rear discs and pads so we'll give them a really good clean up then.
Collected My Frp This Morning Need some advice with a couple of 'niggles'

Also check the condition of the brake caliper pistons themselves...if they are pitted by brake dust around the edges they will hold dirt and need to be replaced

I see....
The noise has gone for now anyway, so we must have done some good
Will have to get them stripped when we do the pads.
Thanks for your help as always
