Why such a find?? they still make these engines and the price doesnt seem really cheap.

I dont get why they bothered changing throttle either as any decent aftermarket ECU can run fly by wire throttles anyway.

probably cheaper than buying one from ford, although im sure kit car manufacturers would get a deal on bulk.

Had it been a 1.7 then its a different matter!!!! would be worth it to stockpile!!!

The cheaper ECU's dont have the ability to use fly by wire throttle, the expensive ones do and a lot of race cars will have fly by wire to include features such as launch control, anti lag etc.
