Replacing Thermostat

i have performed a search but havent got much back. the thermostat needs replacing and i want to know where its exactly situated please . thanks

It's a fairly big job. You have to remove the alternator/auxiliary drive belt, etc.
Your best bet is to get the Haynes Service and Repair Manual (3397) to see how it's done, it will help you with future jobs as well.
Worth putting on a new Auxiliary Belt (around £20) at the same time and also check the Tensioner for wear.
Make sure you get a new thermostat gasket and I think you also need a sealing ring for the thermostat.

Thanks for reply . fiddly getting thermostat off my help did all the hard work ! the thermostat's seal was quite badly damaged when coming to replace the thermostat the new one was too big and obviously the wrong one so having to go and pick up the correct one now.
