it's all connected, it just slots into one of those two small holes just up and to the left of where the switch is, keeps them out of the way, thats all!. Mine falls out occasionally, just slide it back in, 2 seconds work.

that looks like the oxygen sensor connector. It should most definately be connected.

i was going to connet it but i wasn't sure coz everything seems to be working fine and it doesn't seem to fit together without taking it out of the holes there attached to! so should i pop them out and connect them?

make sure it is indeed the oxygen sensor first (sticks out the top of the exhaust manifold), follow the cable to its connector. If the other connector is the same style and colour then yes i'd connect them, its strange though because unplugging the sensor should make the enigne massively overfuel, giving poor performance and aweful fuel economy.
I wonder if someone has unplugged it because the sensor is dead and they didn't want to fork out for a new one? but saying that, no sensor should give the same result as a dead sensor.
tis a strange one, connect it and see what happens.

If it's the same one as in the photo, it is the HEGO/LAMBDA sensor and it should be connected. I my Puma the other end connects to the top of the manifold where you can see the heat shield in that pic. Some later cars have two sensors - not sure about the FRP though.
Worth following the other end and find out where it goes, i'd say.

all FRPS have only one sensor
searching is fruitful | I'm a sponge not a mechanic | please do try that if stuck with a Puma problem whilst waiting for a reply | For the Puma fan this read 'The Inside Story Book' is very nice to own sometimes still seen for sale
