As has been mentioned on the karaoke thread, we're planning to hold another Wales meet in June.. and the date has been set as the weekend of the 12th.

Similar format to the 2 last times.. this is a weekend meet starting on the Friday night and continuing through (for the 'committed' ones amongst us) to the Monday morning.

Generally, the plan is we use Friday as a meet up / settle in day – we can have the lodges from 4pm. Saturday is the ‘big drive’ day, and Chris is sorting out a nice route for us. Saturday evening = bbq + singstar, probably wink.gif Sunday is another drive, shorter though and normally taking in a castle or two / something scenic – a more relaxing day than Saturday in terms of the number of miles driven. Sunday evening.... either another bbq or maybe eat out, will decide on the day. Monday is going home day.... tidy up the lodges and then either just head off home separately or have a bit of a convoy somewhere and then home from there.

You may of course dip in and out of the meet if you want, we don’t demand you stay all weekend wink.gif

Also as in previous times, we’ve booked accommodation for the weekend. The lodges we are staying in are near Penybont, midway between Kington and Rhayader on the A44, and they're called Bryn Thomas Lodges... we have 2 of the 3 lodges booked. Both have hot tubs whether we use them or not is another matter lol....
Have a lookie here if you want http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/penybont/

The lodges are self-catering so everyone will need to bring their own food and drink... we normally have a BBQ on at least one of the nights. They are also a bit in the middle of nowhere so we’ll probably have to plan ahead and get food while we’re out! I think the nearest Tesco is something like 30 miles away, but we’ll compile a list of what is where (supermarkets and petrol stations mainly!) and hopefully give everyone a list when we arrive.

If you have any questions, just ask..... Post up if you're up for it biggrin.gif

Here’s to a fun weekend!

The list so far...
Staying / deposit received:
1. PussCat + 3Ddunk (Caz n Dunk)
2. R5CPD +1 (Chris n Leanne)
3. Spectre17 +1 (Jonathan +1)
4. Taliabee+1 (Talia +1)
5. Mort666 (Paul)
6. MikePass (Mike)

This means all the actual bedrooms are in use, but we still have a sofa bed in each lodge if they are needed wink.gif

'Day' Visitors / possibles:
1. Spike (not heard anything for a while so....)
2. SexKitten
3. VickyDink
4. rza98765
5. Neil
6. Emma n Eric
7. hotrodspike
8. dannyeprice23

It will be interesting to stay at the different place this time as last time I was down that way I found some really nice roads which we didn't get down to on the previous two wales meets smile.gif

Rhys dad has found an interesting place to stay. The accomodation looks like the Eden project time shape and sleeps about 6 people-ish!! they are in mid wales i think. They come with fire etc to keep warm and cozy.

HOWEVER, me and Rhys can only be a possible i am afraid as we are moving out this year and hoping it will be around that time if not before. Really uncertain!! We are also THINKING to go on our mega cheap Portugal holiday which costs only a fraction more than what Wales costs us with all the petrol!!

I know we will be missin out on a whole lot of laughs ifwe do not go but getting my house is a big important thing for me! Emma knows alllll about it! smile.gif

Will let u all know asap! x

Just sent off my holiday request for half a day on Friday 12th and a full day for Monday 15th in preparation for this.

I was just going to come down after work on the Friday, but having looked at how far it is to come after work, I thought it would be better to get the afternoon off smile.gif

A4069 is FRUP's private test track just a few miles up the road Dunk and certainly one you'd enjoy. Aberystwyth area has some fabulous runs especially if you venture south. I drive these roads weekly in my day to day job. If I'm back driving by your planned weekend I'll try to get over to meet up with everyone.

Hi Dan! biggrin.gif

I organised the first two events with Dunk and Caz's great help last year. These were based in North Wales, but this time we are going to be more central based, allowing access to even more great Welsh roads and scenery!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

It best to have a look through these threads about the previous two meets to get an idea and feel of what will be going on. biggrin.gif

http://www.pumapeople.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=84974

... and the Singstar competition will be back again with even more songs this time biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I'm slowly gathering songs and discs together for the ultimate 2009 Pumapeople Singstar Party Competition!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

This time we will have over 200+ songs to choose from, 4 rounds (solo, x2 duet, and duet random choice round), then a final sing off smile.gif Extra points for dance moves too!!! biggrin.gif

All genres of dance, indie, 80's, 90's, rock, pop, christmas, and disco too!! Everyone from Girls Aloud to Cliff Richard, from Rihanna to the Village People!! Everyone will find a song they will know this time!!! biggrin.gif

Will also be making sure that there is plenty of beer / Bacardi Breezers / wine, etc to help lubricate the vocal chords again and get everyone into the singing mood! biggrin.gif

Already can't wait for the Welsh Meet!! smile.gif

Woo-Hoo!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
