Hey guys!
I would like to change my old green leds to red ones. I easily removed some panels but I'm stucked.
The speedo isn't moving and I can't reach the wires. What should I do?

The way i did it was
- Disconnect battery for 30 mins-1hr
- remove the silver dash bezel (3 screws and some locating pins/clips i think)
- Remove steering wheel cowling and hazard light button (mind the little light when faffing)
- Unscrew the four screws around the instrument cluster
- Then, to make it easier you must have little fingers, then unclip the front half of the cluster (with the cowl and perspex front) the two on top was easiest for me
- Remove the perspex cover first, left side out first then slide and rotate out the left hand side of the steering column
- you can then get at the clamp clip that the wires come from and disconnect, being careful of the ribbon cable for the illumination lights
- minding the exposed needles and the needle stops you can the remove the same way as the perspex cover. ta da!
- Dont break anything you cant fix /> dont cock it up />

It seems like you still have a mechanical instrument cluster (no LC-Display) and the rather short speedo-cable that goes into the gearbox needs to be loosened on the gearbox side if you can't reach behind the instrument cluster to unclip it. With that cable undone you should be able to pull the instrument cluster out far enough to reach behind it and unplug the two plugs and unclip the speedo-cable.
Then remove the multifunction switch (light/indicator/wiper/washer stalk). Now you should have enough wiggle room be able to get the instrument cluster out as a whole without disassembling it while it still sits in the car (less risk to break the needles).
